NANCY BERESKY C.P.G. Principal Hydrogeologist E-mail: nberesky@waterstone-env.com Education Ms. Beresky is certified as a Professional Geologist in the State of California and is a Certified Environmental Manager in Nevada. She has 30 years of experience in geology and hydrogeology. As a hydrogeologist for the past 20 years in the environmental field, Ms. Beresky has developed an expertise in performing accelerated site investigation and remediation that leads to regulatory agency closure for her clients.
Ms. Beresky has closed sites with the California EPA-Department of Toxic Substances Control through their Voluntary Cleanup Program as well as the Preliminary Endangerment Assessment protocol. She has also received “No Further Action” decisions from several regions of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, local Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs), Fire Departments, and Health Departments. Her experience in achieving site closure and assessment and remediation of Brownfields sites includes identification of appropriate cleanup options and cleanup levels, use of risk assessment to provide cleanup levels protective of human health, chemical mass balance modeling, attenuation factor modeling. Her special expertise in oilfield cleanup and redevelopment has caused the City of Long Beach and City of Santa Fe Springs (CA) CUPAs to request her expertise in setting up CUPA standards identifying the appropriate sampling and cleanup protocols for oilfield and other industrial use properties.
