Michael L. Kinworthy has over 27 years of professional experience in the environmental field. He has worked with local, state, and federal agencies throughout the world (in 40 states and 14 countries) in connection with the permitting of facilities and development of programs for facilities to ensure regulatory compliance. He has been an active member of several committees and has served as an advisor to the United Nations Environmental Program on environmental auditing and hazardous waste management. Most recently, he has managed the environmental, health, and safety business acquisition assessments of independent petroleum companies purchased by large petroleum corporations. These acquisitions have included identifying and characterizing high risk and liability issues and further assessment to determine the level of liability. Mr. Kinworthy is a frequent lecturer and trainer on environmental issues specifically related to the development of environmental compliance and management programs and is a certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), a Registered Environmental Assessor (R.E.A.), and a Certified Safety Auditor.
